מלון דיזינגוף 99

The Buchlatsev family house (later Matlon) is a pair of buildings with a common wall that was designed in 1935-1936 at 97-99 Dizengoff Street by architect Philip Hitt. The building is characterized by a local architectural language that was named “the international style” and was used for commercial and residential purposes. The process of restoring the building to its original state was based on historical plans, historical photographs and findings in the field.
The building is an item in the collection of buildings in the city that reflect the architecture of the modern movement in Tel Aviv and is protected by virtue of the municipal conservation plan after it was found to carry heritage values. The building has a unique history that includes the use of the building as a filming location for the Israeli cult film ‘Dizengoff 99’ directed by Avi Nesher and starring Gidi Gov, Anat Atzmon and Meir Suisa. 40 years after the filming of the film, the White City Buildings Company and the Isrotel chain purchased the building to convert it into a Class C hotel of the chain, characterized by a large number of small rooms. This is against the background of demand for hotels of this level on the part of the Tel-Aviv municipality and a lack of supply of this type of hotel in the city.
Nega Carpentry, the manufacturer of the best and most advanced wooden windows in the world, was chosen to be the leading supplier of windows in hotels due to its professionalism, quality and service.
Nega Carpentry Company designs, manufactures, preserves and restores wooden windows and wooden shutters adapted to the Israeli climate while maintaining high quality in production, assembly and raw materials. Nega complies with a number of strict international standards.
